1- In 1939 they descovered the first oilfeld in Dukhan.
2- Qatar started export oil in 1949.
3- Offshore production started in 1966.
4- In 1971they descovered the North gas .
5- In 1974 the Qatar general petroleum company was started and they changed name to QP in 1995.
6- In 2005 the Dolphin project was developed to pipe gas to the UAE.
7- Qatar gas took delivery of the world , and it is the largest LNG carrier.
